R&D Technologies

Boston Engineering is addressing the Great Power Competition by attacking challenges related to deterrence and power projection in contested regions, particularly the Indo-Pacific. Our technology development process is aimed at providing capabilities to be agile and responsive to regional conflicts as well as countering emerging technologies such as unmanned systems use by various adversaries.

Our continued development of novel and highly maneuverable unmanned vehicles addresses the Navy’s expanding use of autonomous vehicles for reconnaissance and logistics challenges. Leveraging the latest motion control and actuation techniques provides our vehicles with advantages over conventional, commoditized options.

Our maritime sensing systems including profiling buoys and related equipment is directly aligned to support next-generation intelligence collection and warfare systems. Integrating the latest communications technologies and marrying them with our unique payload integration techniques provides advantages for a variety of missions and users. Recent direct collaboration with warfighters has proven our technology but also allowed us to refine the details and ensure tactical relevance.

Our sensing technologies also provide the opportunity for better understanding of the environment as climate change threatens to impact naval operations both in general and in specific scenarios as disaster relief missions and extreme weather events become more common.
